As winter approaches why not spend some time with us to pick up some gifts in the local towns, especially with phase 1 of the Southgate regeneration project due to complete and open doors to exciting new stores on November 4th. Also in Bath the beautiful area between the stunning Bath Abbey and the internationally renowned visitor attraction, the Roman Baths, is transformed into a Christmas shopper's haven - the Bath Christmas Market. The Bath Christmas Market 2009 will be open from 26 November to 6 December 2009.
Carnivals this month include Bridgewater on 6th; North Petherton on 7th; Shepton Mallet on 11th; Midsomer Norton 12th; Wells on 13th; Glastonbury on 14th.
We now have new windows, doors, Fascia's and Soffits on the house, which will help with our carbon footprint. We also have a new member of the family - Velvet (Click here for picture).
Our S-Room has a new ensuite bathroom for our guests to enjoy. Many thanks to our friendly plumber, Shaun for all of his hard work.
The carnival season is upon us over the next few months. Including Gillingham 10th Oct; Castle Cary 17th Oct; Warminster 31st Oct.
Our friends at the Bell Inn, are hosting the annual PUMPKIN CIDER FESTIVAL - SAT OCTOBER 31st.
Plenty of availability at the moment, but book early to avoid disappointment!. Longleat is still open and less crowded, and don't forget the Frome Cheese Show on September 12th.
The Frome Cheese show is a great cheese show taking place in frome and a great attraction for all to attend! There are a variety of attractions including fair rides, games, shows and of course the cheese show! The famous Frome Cheese Show is only a 10 minute drive from Taumata, making it the perfect B&B to stay in while visiting the show. Frome Cheese show, its the Cheese show to see!
There are plenty of activities at the Bath & West Showground, including a gardening show, motor Caravan show, an art exhibition and an antique fair.
The Frome carnival hits town on 26th September, and on the 17th September Tour of Britain Cycle ride heads from Frome to Bideford.
We are excited to announce that our standard double room will be converted into an ensuite during the first 2 weeks of August. We are also working on a plan to accept credit / debit cards for our clients convenience which should also be up and running in August - Watch this space.
Unfortunately we have no rooms left for the annual Buckland Dinham Beer Festival, with our friend at the Bell Inn, which also coincides with another workshop at Jackdaws.
Feedback on the new website has been positive. Many thanks to our friends at Animedia Studios for their hard work and professionalism.
Sad news on our family front. Our friendly Welsh Springer died at the end of July. He will be sadly missed, especially by Scamp, our English Springer.
There are very few dates available left in July due to unprecedented demand, created by the Frome Festival, weddings at Mells & Orchardleigh, as well as divers visiting Vobster Quay. We have also been working with TSL Projects during the week, who have a team renovating a local diary. We are also hosting musicians for the Jackdaws festival in the middle of July.
